YUM... PAVLOVA!

Today Mrs Lunn made Pavlova with a group of children.  The were very intrigued how Mrs Lunn separated the eggs.  She even brought in her very old mixer to whisk the eggs for us.  It is pretty noisy but certainly did the trick.

Taste test time!

The verdict:  DELICIOUS!

MAKING SMOOTHIES!

On Friday, Mrs Lunn took some of us for our Cooking Workshop.  We made smoothies!

We each brought some fruit from home.
When we cut up the fruit it was a great way to practice fractions.

Mikaela brought some strawberries to add to her smoothie.

Riley cut up his apple.

Caleb was looking forward to making his banana smoothie.

Look at Ryla's lovely smile.
Looks like she is keen to try her smoothie!

Here is Alex tasting his smoothie.

And the verdict...

Thumbs up!
Hooray!

BREAD MAKING

Yummy......  Bread making was easy and, unlike the hokey pokey, Mrs Kenyon didn't burn it.  Delicious!

MEASUREMENT SORT

Today we had a new activity based on measurement.

The teachers gave us some cards with measurement words on them like tiny, large and big.

Our job was to discuss what the words mean and put them in order from the word that means the smallest to the word that means the largest.
