FRIDAY PHOTOS

We love Fridays!

This term we have a cooking workshop each Friday.  Each of us have opted to cook two different foods.  On Friday Mrs Kenyon made Chocolate Pudding with a group.

We also have Art Workshops going on on a Friday too!

We each have chosen two different types of Art that we would like to make.  This week Mrs Ruawai taught the kids how to paint like Mondrain - a famous French Artist!

You will find the lists of who is doing what, down the hallway towards the Jungle.

  Didn't we do well!

We also had Piako 2 Whanau.  This is the assembly we organise by ourselves - for ourselves.

We can sign up to share some of the cool things we have learnt or done.

Happy birthday Ava

Happy birthday Ava!  Mrs Kenyon bumped into Ava at the supermarket on Saturday.  She was wearing her bright pink Birthday Girl badge.

Let's cook, clean and eat!

Self of us cooked yummy self saucing chocolate pudding today.  It was easy to make and soooo delicious.

  

We took turns mixing the ingredients. 

 Emma, Rebekah and Kalib did the dishes.

 

Then we ate.  Delicious!!!!

Pixel visits Riverdale

We were very pleased to meet Adam's new kitten Pixel today.

  

Our family adopted a kitten.  My brother and I were very excited because we've wanted a kitten for so long.  She is so cute!  She has shiny black fur, white paws, beautiful green eyes and grayish white whiskers.  Her name is Pixel.  Some other names we thought were: Ninja Stealth, Pepper, Nyx and Sassypants.  Sometimes she is naughty and sneaky.  She climbs up the curtains and bites my finger.  But she is adorable!  By Adam

100 Days Smarter Writing

"Yay!  It was soooo fun on our 100th day of school.  You could make paper chains with 100 chains, 100th hats, and 100th day glasses.  Pop!  Suddenly one of the balloons popped and gave everyone a big fright.  We also got to make fairy bread.  It was delicious".  By Emily & Blake

WE ARE 100 DAYS SMARTER!

All of today's activities focused on the number 100.  Here are a few photos of what we got up to...

One of our activities was a Scavenger Hunt.  We had to find hearts with numbers on hidden around the room.  Once we found them we had to blu-tac them up in Wonderland.  Josh helped find numbers and was a great help putting them in order from 1 to 100.

 Some of us wrote stories about what we would be like when we are 100 years old.

Another station was to make a cup structure with paper cups.

Taika, Jaylim, Nina, Adam, Drew the Giraffe and Blake, made the number 100 with their cups.

Creative thinking guys!

Alex, Caleb, Darcy and Jack made some cool 100 day hats...

So did Adam...

We made 100 glasses.

How cool are WE!

  

We know that 10 groups of 10 equals 100.  We painted 10 dots on each of the sections.

 Here is a photo of Riley completing a 100s board puzzle.  It was pretty tricky but Riley preserved and got it done!

100th Day of School

We have had a fabulous day celebrating 100 days at school.

Once we had completed our tasks we got to make fairy bread using 100s and 1000s.  Yummy!

  

  

Kyle, Mahiro, Keira and Hunter looked fantastic in their 100 day hat and glasses.

We were able to find the word 100.

 

Benji was able to follow instructions to make a 100 day monster.

HAPPY 100TH DAY OF SCHOOL

On the first day of Term Three we are celebrating our 100th day of School.

HAPPY RETIREMENT MRS JOHNSTON!

Here is our special gift that we made for Mrs Johnston in our office.  She retires at the end of the term and we wanted to say thank you and to wish her well.

We quietly snuck up to Mrs Johnston's window and sang this song for her ...
