Today we started to paint rocks and egg cartons to prepare for our Market Day creations.  Watch this space for the final products.

 

 

MAKE IT MONDAY - Make a toy that moves or makes a noise

We had so much creating our toys yesterday as part of 'Make it Monday'.  Children had to make a toy that moved or made a noise.  There was a huge variety.

Maarire and Petra made a jack in the box with a puppet.

Devon made a duplicate of his pet cobra.

Charlotte made a flash caravan, with moving wheels, out of a box from her birthday.

Keira and Samantha made a robot, complete with arms.

We had a wonderful afternoon making our recycled toys!

KNITTING MACHINE

There was a lot of excitement in class today when Jenny, Rebekah's mum, visited with her 1970s knitting machine.  She has had the machine for 7 years and makes some amazing things with it which she sells on the Facebook page "Made by Mum" under the name of "Little Miss Sunshine".

Check out our beautiful models Karys, Honor, Rebekah and Darcy. 

  

Then the children got to have a turn using the machine. 

  

But the best part was watching Jenny use the machine.  Look how fast she is!
